My Approach: Rooted in You

Personalized care that honors your story, your body, and your healing journey!

Healing starts with listening.

That’s why my work begins by understanding your symptoms, yes, but also your stressors, your habits, your hopes, your goals, ultimately, your whole story.

As an Integrative and Functional Nutritionist, I focus on looking into potential root causes and creating nutrition strategies that fit into your real life. I help connect the dots between your medical care and the practical “how” of healing through nutrition, lifestyle, education, and compassionate support.

You're not just another patient or a set of lab results. You're a whole person. And together, we'll design a path forward that empowers you to take charge of your health.

Why I Created Well Women Health

Why Well Women Health?

When I began my career as a health coach, I saw firsthand how often women were dismissed, silenced, or expected to simply endure their symptoms. Too many times, we were the first to question ourselves, labeling our experiences as “too much,” “crazy,” or “just hormones.”

Over time, my passion for understanding the complexity and resilience of the female body has only deepened. I’ve had the privilege of working with women across Asia and the U.S., and no matter where they are from, one truth remains: women are often told to ignore or normalize their symptoms. We were told to “push through” or “just deal with it.” But I’ve seen something far more powerful. Women are ready to be heard. They want to feel seen in their stories and supported in their healing.

In 2021, I enrolled in Dr. Aviva Romm’s Integrative and Functional Medicine Professional Training Program for Women’s Health and it all clicked.

I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.

With great respect and a deep commitment to women’s health, Well Women Health was born. This is a space where women are heard, held, supported, and empowered in their wellness journey.

How Functional Medicine Changed My Practice

Functional Nutrition is a science-based, root-cause approach to health and healing. It moves away from “one-size-fits-all” solutions and instead looks at food as information - information that can heal, harm, or support the body depending on how it's used.

This approach asks deeper questions:

Why are symptoms happening? What imbalances underlie them? How do food, environment, lifestyle, and genetics interact to shape health?

Instead of focusing only on symptoms, we explore how each system in your body communicates and works together. Nutrition plans are personalized using lab work, clinical history, and lifestyle context with the ultimate goal of restoring function and creating lasting wellness.

Integrative Nutrition blends modern science with holistic, traditional, and lifestyle-based practices. I love this approach for its deep respect for the whole person - body, mind, and spirit.

Rooted in my cultural background and early exposure to Traditional Chinese Medicine, I incorporate time-tested traditions that view food, sleep, stress, and emotional health as interconnected parts of wellness. The goal is not just symptom relief but full-body, sustainable wellness and balance.

“Kay was the first nutritionist to ever start our conversation by asking how I was first, and finding someone who actually listens to my story first in the healthcare space is so rare and appreciated!”

You won’t find one-size-fits-all plans or band-aid solutions. You’ll find personalized, whole-person support that honors your story, your symptoms, and your goals.
Because you’re not meant to just get by. You’re meant to thrive. You are meant to feel vibrant, strong, and deeply at home in your body. And I’m here to walk that path with you.
